SustainabilityBoardman Foods, Inc. is proud of our commitment to sustainable business practices, and we are continually looking for new ways to demonstrate our dedication to sustainability. Our facility has taken several steps in the name of responsible business and a better environment. For example, our extensive recycling program includes everything from scrap metal to ink cartridges and soda cans. We have eliminated a significant amount of paper waste by using an electronic file storage system, as well as electronic faxes and time sheets. Further, our facility's waste is used for cattle feed, and production waste water is used for crops. We are also committed to working with suppliers and companies that share our commitment to the environment. Our growers use drip irrigation, and many grow their product entirely organically. We work with chemical suppliers and box manufactures that have specific sustainability programs within their businesses, as well. |
